It is said that the biggest rich man in ancient China during the Spring and Autumn Period was fish farming. His name was Fan Wei. Fan Wei was born in 536 BC and is a native of Chu Guowan (now Nanyang, Henan). His book «Fishfish Classic» is the earliest fish farming book in China. No matter how he fished at the time, at least it shows that our aquaculture has been more than 2,500 years old. However, in this long history, the revolutionary changes in China's aquaculture have been the time in the decades since the founding of the People's Republic of China. Standing at the forefront of aquatic products, looking back at history, it often presents different content. For this reason, the author interviewed Fu Xiaolin, general manager of Wuhan Zhongyi Tiandi IOT Technology Co., Ltd., to talk about his fourth revolution in aquatic products. ".

Aquaculture is now in a period of rapid change. Three changes have taken place in the aquaculture industry. The three major changes are the artificial breeding techniques, aerator technology and aquatic compound feed technology. For the first time: Early farming relied on wild species that were harvested, and seedlings became a bottleneck limiting the scale of farming. Since the successful breeding of seedlings, the scale of aquaculture in the country has expanded rapidly, and the output of freshwater aquaculture reached 3.9 million tons in 1988, ranking first in the world. The second time: With the increase of breeding density, dissolved oxygen in fish ponds has become a bottleneck restricting yields. The yield per mu has been only tens to hundreds of kilograms. In order to increase the yield per mu, the aerator was developed from the early 1970s. In 1988, Zhang Jiahua of Hai'an County Yumu Machinery Equipment Factory invented the impeller aerator and applied for a patent. We can see the pond after the aerator. It is very easy to produce a few kilograms per mu. The per mu yield of the white banana sea bream in Zhuhai is more than 10,000 kg. The third time: early aquaculture is a raw material product such as feeding grass and feeding vegetables. The workload is large and the speed of long fish is slow, which has ushered in the rapid development of aquatic feed. The development of aquafeed technology has greatly shortened the breeding cycle and further improved the productivity of fish ponds.

At present, the main problems facing our aquaculture are the immature farming technology and low breeding efficiency. The breeding groups are also changing. The older generation of farmers are gradually withdrawing from the stage. Is there a willingness for a new generation of young people to face the high-input and high-risk farming industry? In the past, the profit of the aquatic product circulation was controlled by fishmongers due to the opaque and asymmetric information. Farmers lamented that good aquaculture production could not sell good prices. The water product technology can solve the above problems. In fact, my point is that there are opportunities to have problems, and the more the period of change, the more opportunities for aquatic people. It is believed that the water product technology will lead the industry's fourth revolution and promote the rapid development of the aquatic industry.
